Poll Example
Important: Whenever you create a form where you are asking your website visitors what is the ‘Best’, especially as it relates to high school sports, the Rayos Team recommends using a voting form set up instead of a simple poll set up to avoid problems with scripts and bots trying to influence the vote.
To Create A Poll Like The One Above:
- Go to Forms > New Form
- Go to Advanced Fields > Polls. You will only need to add one Polls field for each question in the poll.
- Hit Update to Save the Form
- Go to Settings > Polls
- Check Block repeat voting using cookie
- Choose a timeframe for when the cookie should expire
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Disable Notifications by clicking the green slider next to the active notification to disable it
- Go to Settings > Confirmations
- Choose the confirmation message you want visitors to see above the poll results when they submit their answer. In the example above, a blank confirmation is used so that no message appears. To create a blank confirmation:
- Click Add New at the top of the Confirmations page
- Fill in the Confirmation Name field with a name for this confirmation, such as “Blank Confirmation”
- Leave the Message field empty and hit Save Confirmation
- Once your form is ready, you can place it on a page or in an article. Instructions for placing a form are in this training video.
