Poll Example

Important: Whenever you create a form where you are asking your website visitors what is the ‘Best’, especially as it relates to high school sports,  the Rayos Team recommends using a voting form set up instead of a simple poll set up to avoid problems with scripts and bots trying to influence the vote.

To Create A Poll Like The One Above:

  1. Go to Forms > New Form
  2. Go to Advanced Fields > Polls. You will only need to add one Polls field for each question in the poll.
  3. Hit Update to Save the Form
  4. Go to Settings > Polls
  5. Check Block repeat voting using cookie
  6. Choose a timeframe for when the cookie should expire
  7. Go to Settings > Notifications
  8. Disable Notifications by clicking the green slider next to the active notification to disable it
  9. Go to Settings > Confirmations
  10. Choose the confirmation message you want visitors to see above the poll results when they submit their answer. In the example above, a blank confirmation is used so that no message appears. To create a blank confirmation:
    1. Click Add New at the top of the Confirmations page
    2. Fill in the Confirmation Name field with a name for this confirmation, such as “Blank Confirmation”
    3. Leave the Message field empty and hit Save Confirmation
  11. Once your form is ready, you can place it on a page or in an article. Instructions for placing a form are in this training video.
