How Ad Serving Works

Standard Ads are hosted in the ad server. When the ad code is loaded on the website, it looks to the ad server for the appropriate ad to run in that slot.

Advanced Ads (Third Party) are hosted by the third party. When the ad code is loaded on the website, the ad server reaches out to the third party to determine how the ad will load on the page.
