Rayos Elections

The Rayos platform provides a tool to help you manage your election results on your site. The election tool allows you to present election data on pages and articles either by an entire election or just individual races. You can also manage the elections through a manual process in which you would individually enter in the data for each race or via an election data feed (such as BTI or AP Elections). The tool can be accessed via the Election link in the left side menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I wait to publish my Date and Races until closer to the election?

You can publish your date and races at any time as they do not appear on the site until the election shortcode is added to a page or article so it would be easiest to just publish them as you create them. However, you cannot assign races to a date until that date is published.

How do I clear out old races cluttering up my election admin?

If you don’t want to fully delete the old races, you can always archive them. This will take them out of the initial race display and puts them in an “Archived” status and are still published to the front end of the site and available to edit via the “Archived” filter at the top of the race list. To archive your races check the box next to each race to archive (or filter by the Date and check all), click the Bulk actions drop down, choose Edit, then Apply. In the Status drop down, select Archived, then click Update.
