Assigning Category Groups

Category groups keep your categories organized to help your contributors find the appropriate categories when publishing content to your site. Groups are not visible to your website visitors.

Categories can be assigned individually to a group from the Category edit page or in bulk via the Category Group edit page.

Assigning a individual category to a group:

  1. Go to Articles > Categories
  2. Find the category you want to assign
  3. Hover over the category and select Edit
  4. Scroll down to the Category Group drop down
  5. Find the group in the list list or type the name to search
  6. Click the appropriate category and click Update to save

Assigning multiple categories to a group:

  1. Go to Articles > Category Groups
  2. Find the Category Group you want to assign categories to
  3. Hover over the Category Group and select Edit
  4. Scroll down to the Group Categories menu
  5. Put a check next to an
  6. Click the appropriate category and click Update to save

Note: Categories can only belong to one group. If you assign an already grouped category to a new group, it will remove the category from it’s original group.
